When a brewery does a beer that you like and you remember then all others in that roundabout style get judged on that right?! I’m hankering back to 2019 to the bourbon BA cherry imperial stout for dark beers from SG that I’ve really enjoyed, others have just been a bit mainstream, good but not their best. This beer threatens to be similar but actually packs a punch. Flavour complexity is this beers friend, and also it’s a mellow one too, so it’s all there and just all subtle and nice and makes me smile… maple, caramel, chocolate and oaky goodness in a 430ml can 👌
