I didn’t get a picture for this, no idea why! Pic stolen from the internet 😂 These sort of beers are always a challenge as to whether I’ll like them or not but this intrigued me both in the use of pears and the extended ageing. I really enjoyed this, the up front tartness wasn’t massive, it was quite very palatable. The pear gave a nice perfumey aroma and gentle flavour. It was both effervescent and full bodied, which complimented each other nicely. Sips felt heavy but then were soon cut through with the tiny bubbles popping away in your mouth. The oats and lactose do the trick, giving it body, and the barrel leaves plum and oak nuances in the background. Very enjoyable and quite unique.

A bright yellow colour and completely opaque with no head left behind after a minute or two. On the nose is abundance of hops, fresh green and juicy fruit. Sharp grapefruit, lime and mandarin, white grape, pine and alcohol. In the mouth it's syrupy with noticeable alcohol taste straight away. It transitions from sweet to bitter from the start to the pine finish. I expect the flavours to develop over time but also this is the last beer of my box and is several weeks old. It's tangy with golden grapefruit via the Citra and the softer taste of mandarin, a touch of lime and at this stage the Nelson white grape and gooseberry are hiding. Now it's thoroughly warmed and breathed the flavour is stronger, still not huge on Nelson compared to the beer I had before this one the other day. Tangy and dank with pine, gooseberry is coming through, mandarin is stronger as is the golden grapefruit. Still not my favourite DIPA, but the alcohol taste is basically covered now, strong with hops.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 j'adore! C'est hyper acide , on a bien ce goût orange et abricot. Un peu moins l'étoile anisée. Mais c'est terrible quand même .

Unfiltered lager. Whether it’s been lagered or not I’m unsure but the style suggests it was canned fresh. It’s bready, grassy and spicy. Robust and with a fresh bitterness. Still tasting good despite being a few months old now.
