In Texas having another Shiner Texas beer I've never enjoyed before. I knew Shiner Amber, excited to compare it to my favorite, Shiner Bock. Small head that disappears quickly. Light orange color. Miniscule amber aroma. A little more crisp. Flavor is good but a little less sweet and a little less powerful than Shiner Bock. Finish adds light notes of bitterness and the amber sweetness is lasting. Overall, I feel like the flavor and sweetness is not as good as Shiner Bock but the finish, with it's roasted quality lasting longer was a bit better. Definitely not the same, but still a pretty good amber.

This has a toasted bread and toasted caramel/toffee malt taste. A bit sweet but far from overwhelming. It’s quite tasty overall. I had a few sitting around for a while but just realized that I’ve never logged.

Good tasting beer for a light beer.
