My Name is Also JC is the New England approach. Pouring a golden yellow color with an inviting hazy glow, the nose is greeted with a charge of mouth-watering orange sherbet aromatics. Secondary highlights range from overripe pineapple, mango, and creamy citrus. Balanced, with a finish that lands on the drier side, My Name is Also JC is fermented with our house yeast, bringing a classic Trillium feel to the experimental HBC 538.

AROMA: Groundy and bit woodsy with tropical notes and crispy background. Aromatic.
HEAD: One finger tall, airy and swift.

HBC 586 & HBC 538 hopped IPA.
Taste is quirky. I get dank West Coast vibes with ripe fruits and some butter, but there’s also greener fruits and citruses in the mix. Hard to say. Mouthfeel is wrapped around medium body which is tad on the sharp side although dry hops are slow (and decent in amount), the being is somewhat hard (waterprofile might be too up there to my taste?). Aftertaste has nice feel of malts, some fruit peels (grapefruit, cantaloupe f.e.) with slightly drying end.
OTHER NOTES:
These hops are really something worth of the wait. They are really profound, clear and agile too. They did work better in West Coast IPA, but anyway, they’re really something.
