Dark brown opaque color with very little head. Sweet root beer aroma. Creamy texture. The root beer comes fast but is quickly overpowered by a strong vanilla bean. Alcohol blends in and seems stronger than the 8.7%. Finish continues both the root beer and vanilla in a candy-like soda, the sweetness overpowers the other flavors. I love DuClaw, it's on my bucket list. But, for me, this one isn't as good as the others. The sweetness is too strong and tastes like saccharine. Still, a good beer, but just doesn't measure up to the others.
