Muddy, light brown Sahti. A faint haze wafts on the top. The scent is restrained with a grainy twist of rye. The taste is mildish, a tad grainy and malty but not fruity. A yeasty note lingers in the background. This is interesting since the rye is unmalted. The mouthfeel is medium-full, somewhat smooth, lip-glueing and slightly coarse. Kissel-like. Edit: The representative of Honkajoki came #2 in the contest but the competition Sahti was another one, not the one I tasted.
