I don’t do beers like this... I paid £13 for one of those Omnipollo Lassi Gose abominations last year and was not impressed at all. Expectations weren’t high, however... It delivered on all promises including the promise to ‘wreck your glassware’! I know a lot of people love the omnipollo beers for being on the extreme edge of what is acceptable but are their beers drinkable? This is what they should be aiming for. Maple sweetness and tart blueberries colliding in a balanced cacophony of flavours that crucially does not overpower your palate. Certainly not a beer you could knock back too many of in one go, but incredibly chuggable. Thanks for the gifted beer Jamie, it seems I now do beers like this...

Well I don’t know what this is! It’s not listed on the can nor their website what style of beer this actually is. This is a new release from one my local breweries that are renowned for some quality brewing. This is part of a new range that intends to wreck glasses. Load it with fruit so that your gonna get a sticky residue on your glass. So I knew this would be fruity and it does not disappoint. A beautiful deep purple colour. A very strong alcohol smell. First taste is a smack in the mouth shot of blueberry fruitiness. It’s almost like I have a mouthful of berries in my mouth. A real thick yet smooth mouth of sweetness that leads into a very subtle tartness. Well rounded and has just the right amount of tartness that has your mouth watering and gasping for another mouthful. Beers like this are why we need to support our small breweries throughout the country, masters of their craft experimenting and producing absolutely amazing creations. It won’t be to everyone’s liking it will have some traditionalists moaning. But I got invited to a party in my mouth and this can was my ticket!
