HEAD: Nonexistent. GREY’S VIEW Larceny Wheated Bourbon Barrel Wheat Wine w/ Apple, Cinnamon and Natural Caramel flavoured piece. Mmkay. There’s that cinnamon covered green apples very present, but the barrels really gives nice twist to this. It’s kinda boozy, but it’s dry wheaty, liquor like, molasses and sugary sort of, some nutty flavour also. They balance nicely that christmas feel what that mainflavour from green apples and cinnamon brings. Wheat is strong in this, with those sugar flavours. It’s agile and liquor like. Barrels are sweetly presented. Nice. But it also covers all the pores and your full being this one. It’s slow but demanding and it kinda requires some experience from you. OTHER NOTES: Thick in flavours and slow. Full green apple and cinnamon heaven with good amount of barrels there trying to level it. Not the most balanced one from Goose Island, but nicely different. Backlog from December 25th Family Christmas beer share. Apple, bourbon and a little bit of cinnamon in the aroma. Taste has apple and caramel first, followed by subtle yet flavorful bourbon, with the cinnamon coming through in the finish. Great balance. 4.5/5
