Sweet and bit dry. FOAM: Half a finger tall, dark/reddish brown head. GREY’S VIEW Imperial Milk Stout with Cacao Nibs, Vanilla Beans, Milk Sugar, Cinnamon Sticks & Ancho Chiles. First sip. It’s dry with cocoa, there’s lots of mixed dry nuts. Hmm.. let’s give it a few more moments to warm up... Ok. Another go. Mouthfeel is full on oily and sticky sugary, bound in semi thick and slowly runny body. Taste has mostly cocoa, but there’s also lots of creaminess, some dried herbs. The milk chocolate is almost obscure actually. Ancho chilles gives first the slightest feel of warmth in this one, slowly building their being towards the peak. Decent. Mmm. What else? Hard to say? OTHER NOTES: This would have need more time in the cellar. Atleast half a year, but most likely two or three years. It’s still raw and too wild, to me atleast. Joulun kunniaksi piti jotain erikoisempaa kaadella lasiin, joten kokeillaan tätä Monkishin Double Milk Stouttia. Tätä on maustettu vaniljalla, kaakaolla, laktoosilla, kanelilla ja ripauksella chiliä. Kuulostaa melko jouluiselta. Olut kaatuu lasiin mustana ja paksun öljyisenä. Ruskea pienikuplainen vaahto nousee hetkeksi pinnalle. Tuoksu on makean siirappinen ja mukana on melkoinen lataus suklaata ja vaniljaa. Kanelia ja kaakaota on taustalla. Maku on pehmeä ja samalla melkoisen makea. Tummaa siirappia, runsaasti kanelia, maitosuklaata, toffeeta ja rekka-autollinen vaniljaa. Olut tahmaa tehokkaasti huulet, ja samalla tuntee pienen chilin poltteen taka-alalla. Suutuntuma voisi olla aavistuksen paksumpi, mutta alkoholi on piilotettu makeuden joukkoon hienosti. Mielellään tämän olisi kyllä jakanut jonkun kanssa, koska tuo makeus hyökkää päälle melko isosti. Toki tälläiseen oluttyyliin se kuuluu, ja tämä olut käsittelee sen melko hyvin. Mukavaa joulua kaikille pinttiläisille 🎅🏻🍻
