#15 Honestbrew Ultimate 2020

Ensikokemus hämmentynyt. Vaalea olut? Etiketistä kun lukee barrel aged ja imperial, niin heti odotti mustaa siirappia. Tämä on alkuun aika ohkaisen makuinen. Muuten vähän hapan. Alkoholi todella piilossa. Aika hentoja makuja, mutta on tämä toisaalta aika tasapainoinen ja sinällään kaikki ohkaset vivahteet kevyestä viskistä rypäleisiin toimii ihan kivasti. Oispa toinen, että sais makusteltua vähän tarkemmin.

Samea tumman keltainen. Lähes tuoksuton. Maussa makeus, ruis, todella mieto viskin aromi ehkä hieman hapan. Jälkimaussa lämpöä ja hento viskin aromi ja mallas. Yllättävän pliisut maut. Mutta alkoholi pysyy piilossa.

This is a Imperial Rye Ale aged in Irish single grain ex-Cabernet Sauvignon & Bourbon Barrells. To be honest I was surprised when started pourin that this wasn’t another dark beer it’s almost straw yellow maybe golden color. And so does the nose surprise me too it’s peach!🤷‍♂️ Also some mandarin and white grapes. Alcohol is present too with some whisky/aquavit tones. Taste is a bit sweeter like peach ice tea, some white grapes and berries and spices. Alcohol is not too strong in taste and reminds me of aquavit for some reason. I don’t find almost any bitterness just some oak to dry out the aftertaste. Mouthfeel is very very viscous and thick but not heavy at all. So nice!👌 This beer surprises me on many levels! Great experience!
