Flight 4/4 (2). Now something weird. This is supposed to be a Blonde Ale. But... oh Lord, look at the color! Bizarre! Not inviting, eh? I don't even know how to call that color. Looks like my grandma's raisin kissel. Don't take me wrong, I loved it as a kid but the hue is close to what I have now in glass 4. Like a blend of sludge and purple grape juice. If that color has a name, I suggest that it should be banned by the Constitution. Well, at least the olfactory sector doesn't make me puke. Very thin anyway. As if tea-like. Herbal tea maybe. Could be grass or nettle. Still not convinced that this is supposed to be like this but so far, so good. The flavor composition is interesting. Not disgusting at all albeit not particularly seductive either. I like the fairly copious ripe purple gooseberry mash and caramel. A drop of grape juice can also be spotted in the palate. The body is light plus, perhaps even light-medium. I'm amazed. Or not. The tail leaves a ripe or canned fruity impression of purple berries, especially gooseberry but also a hint of grape. Lengthy duration we have here. The mouthfeel is light-medium, juicy, rich in berries, a tad drying but otherwise pretty fluid. Innovative in a way. Not a huge success but I'm glad someone has taken steps on the wild side. +0.3 stars extra for an adventurous approach!

🇨🇭🇨🇭 Une blonde assez simple au bon goût de céréales. Maltée et rafraîchissante.
