Trying out one of the beers brought from Texas. Have a few more in the background still to try.
Starts with a medium head that disappears quickly. Color is a very deep red. Has an alcohol and raisin aroma. Mouthfeel is very smooth, creamy, thick and heavy. No carbonation is present. Flavor starts mild and builds. Caramel and roasted malt, definitely has raisin in the background. Finish brings forth a warm alcohol burn combined with a burnt bitterness.
I always have enjoyed a late night dessert beer, porters and stouts. This is definitely a beer to sip, warm and alcoholic, but not too much. Makes a great addition to a evenings night cap. Wish I had more like this.
