Edelleen hyvä, vähän kypsyneenä...

Kypsytetty kunnolla, puoli vuotta. Pähkinä voimistunut. Upea tuoksu, kuivan maapähkinän intensiteetti. Maku paljon pliisumpi.

Aika mustaa. Hyvää stouttia.

Pähkinäinen. Vahva. Lämmittävä,

Tuoksu hedelmäinen, luumuinen. Selvää maapähkinää myös mukana. Maussa luumuinen kirpakka hedelmäisyys jää pian hyvällä tavalla puisevan pähkinäisyyden alle. Katkeroa pähkinäisen yrttisissä sävyissä kohtuullisesti, voisi olla katkerampikin. Suutuntuma paksuhko ja öljyinen, hiilihappoja juuri ja juuri riittävästi elävöittämään olutta. Aika hieno vahva brown ale maapähkinällä, hieman hiottavaa vielä tasapainossa.

Murky, deep dark brown beer with introvert carbonation unleashes a yellowish, small-bubbled head that barely grows one finger tall. The foamy cap dissolves soon to a thin ring of minuscule bubbles circling the surface. The retreating foam leaves no traces on the wall of the glass. The scent smashes powerful peanut butter straight on my nose. I'm also imagining a bit of nut cookie in the scent. The nutty element is extraordinarily dominant and basically overwhelms everything else. The taste is more balanced, yet the nutty punch hits fiercely one's nuts. (Sorry, I couldn't resist the temptation... 😬) Ok, peanut butter and nut cookie are unavoidable. I can also pick medium-sweet brown malt and a tender hoppy touch. Overall, the gustatory provision is attractive and mouthwatering. The body is medium to medium-full. It's hanging on its minimum -- it could, and should, well be more robust as this clocks as high as 9.4 %. The beer finishes with medium-sweet peanut butter and a tad slightly bitter, dry peanut peel. The finish puts additionally forward brown malt and moderate hops. The aftertaste goes nuts with the tastebuds for a rather long time. The mouthfeel is nicely soft and smooth, even a bit velvety. It's substantially balanced, yet also desserty and slightly lip-glueing but no means sappy. The mouthfeel is, further, satiating and somewhat mellow. Very tasty and quaffable. I'm particularly happy about the balanced taste: often the nutty beers are either too weak or too nutty. This is heftily nutty but not abundant. Good stuff! This is my 38th Maistila beer (plus a couple of collabs) and goes easily in the top 5.
