Hyvin tummanruskea ja läpinäkymätön väri. Sentin vahvuinen tiheähkö vaahto ohenee hitaasti pitsinriekaleiksi.

Stout & Porter Days 2020 @ St. Urho's Pub.
I tried to have "Imenso" whose arrival was delayed last week but, for my disappointment, it's finished. To compansate for my loss, I'm having "Smoked Barrel Aged Porter" by Kimito Brewing.
The beer pours impenetrable, deep dark brown. The shy carbonation unleashes a velvety, beautiful pale tan head that climbs up to one finger. The foamy pillow shrinks sluggishly to a pretty lacing on top. The retreating foam messes the glass with thick coverings.
The scent is surprisingly mild: I get restrained smoke and a faint whisky aroma.
The tongue experiences light-smoked dark malt, a tiny injection of whisky with a faint peaty twist, a suggestion of bonfire and a very remote coffeeish note. Not bad at all. Of course, the 6 % is not perfect for a robust body but, on the other hand, for the provided ABV this is quite successful.
The body is medium to medium-full. The beer finishes with a tad bitter coffeeish nuance embedded in decently smoked dark malt and accompanied by a pinch of dark chocolate as well as nicely lingering, moderate whisky. The aftertaste pleases the tastebuds for a relatively long time.
The mouthfeel is truly soft and smooth, even velvety. It's also modestly smoky and slightly roasty. It's very moderately barrel aged and not boozy at all. Furthermore, the mouthfeel is a bit dry but simultaneously slightly lip-glueing. Palatable for 6 %.
