Was zum Naschen. Dunkel und tief schwarz liegt das Temptress im Glas. Die Nase verspricht viel: Karamell, Lakritz, Kaffee, Schokolade. Der Antrunk überzeugt. Salz-Karamell dominiert. Überraschend leicht im Körper, nicht wässrig aber fließend. Der Mittelteil kommt schön schokoladig. Der Nachtrunk schließt mit Espressobittere und Trockenheit von Zartbitterschokolade. Fazit: Sehr gelungen.

Da ist mal eine ganz andere Variante eines Stout bei einem meiner Bierdealer aufgetaucht. Schon nach dem Öffnen der Flasche entströmt ein Karamellduft, dagegen sind Werthers Echte geschmacklos. Im Glas dann ein fast blickdicht schwarzes Stout mit einer in Millimetern zu messenden Blume. Der Antrunk ist sehr cremig und sofort macht sich der Karamellbonbon vehement bemerkbar. Was ist an Begleitung dabei? Etwas Röstigkeit, etwas süßer Honig, etwas Vanille, etwas Alkohol, etwas Bittere der man die 56 IBU nicht anmerkt. Die salzige Komponente bleibt mir verborgen. Bei diesem Stout könnte ich zum Fan dieses Stils werden. Und das ich bei einem Stout mal fast 5* gebe ... nicht zu fassen.

First rating but forth sampling of beer today. Starts with almost no head dissipates quickly. Very intense caramel aroma. Opaque brown in color. Texture is a little thick. This flavor is awesome. Strong caramel and vanilla that continues into the slightly bitter finish. I keep returning to the aroma, which is one of the top five that I have experienced. This is an excellent stout and a perfect example of the dessert beers that I enjoy.
