Really excited to try this double IPA by Trillium, that is brewed exclusively with Sabro hops. This one pours to a glass as hazy yellow leaving nice one finger head on top. Interesting aromas of fresh tangerine, ripe canned pineapple, lime jam and cream. Thick and creamy mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Nice mouthfeel as expected. I definitely get the pina colada flavor that Sabro hops should deliver. Pineapple, coconut, tangerine and lime. Nice maltiness in the aftertaste. Really enjoy this one, more Sabro IPA's please!

The glass fills with hazy, peach-juice-colored beer. Timid, short-lived carbonation leaks out of the can when I crack it open. A pure white, velvety head grows 1.5 fingers tall and settles gradually down to a thin lacing on top. Thick frogspawn clings tightly to the wall of the glass. Soft grapefruit, mango and a touch of peach constitute the skeleton of the olfactory package. Oat flakes release their moderate biscuity nuance to the nostrils. The hoppy side portrays slightly piney, grassy and faintly leathery proposals. Overall, the scent is rather nice but less fruity than I hoped for. The gustatory experience continues fairly similar to the fragrance. The hoppy experience is prominent and shows slightly piney and a bit dry-hoppy twists. Leather is fortunately not present. The fruit cocktail is blurred with raw mango, pineapple and zesty grapefruit, accompanied by a tad dried apricot and a whisper of bitter orange peel. The oaty touch is gentle. The body is light-medium to medium. The end slope takes a good while. The finish allows one to enjoy bitter grapefruit and grated lemon peel, maybe also a pinch of raw pineapple. The tropical sun has set before the finish. Hop burn makes itself felt nicely. The mouthfeel is neatly soft and smooth. It's also first appealingly tropical but loses such feature right after the sip is swallowed. Still further, the mouthfeel nicely juicy, decently crisp as well as slightly warming. Thank you ..... for this brew. 🙏🏻
