Muddy, pitch black beer with a neat, silky, chocolatey head that adorns nicely the top.
I find a bit of coffee in the fragrance, seasoned with strong cardamom, clove and very faint aniseed.
The tongue experiences massive dark chocolate, an attractive dollop of espresso as well as distant clove and cardamom. I can also pick identifiable licorice and pastry in the gustatory provision.
The body is medium-full. The beer ends with distinct licorice and aniseed, raw chocolate, some mocha and remote coarse cardamom. The aftertaste wakes the tastebuds up for a long period.
The mouthfeel is a bit sappy, lip-glueing, somewhat desserty and intriguingly Middle Eastern.
