Driving in Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Park, California. My goodness, the sequoias are HUGE.
The beer colors thick Bloody Mary. 😳 A very restrained ring of minuscule bubbles emerges on the surface and melts quickly away.
The nose receives interesting fruity elements of hefty pineapple, distinct penetrative chili and a remote nuance of tomato juice. What is this?
The tongue can't believe what is gets, is true: massive tomato juice, a generous punch of ground black pepper, recognizeable pineapple and a relatively powerful kick of chili. I can also detect fresh pressed lemon pulp, a bit of orange zest as well as a salty touch. Oh my!
The body is light-medium. The beer finishes with a strong chili punch, loads of salty tomato puree, a bit of refreshing pineapple and a tad mango. The aftertaste horrifies the tastebuds for long.
The mouthfeel is extraordinarily spiced, thick but also medium-light as well as satiating. In addition, the mouthfeel is funky and awkward but despite tomato not vegetal.
