Kovasti mielipiteitä jakanutta Trilliumin DIPA:a lasiin. Tölkitetty 10/06/20, joten ikää tänään tasan 6 viikkoa. Kaatuu lasiin todella kirkkaan ja pirteän keltaisena. Olut on täysin samean mehuisaa ja nostaa pinnalleen reilu sormen korkean vaalean paksun vaahdon. Tuoksu on mielenkiintoinen. Reilusti raikasta hedelmää, mutta samalla sellaista pientä kumimaisuutta. Pientä makeutta ja rypäleisyyttä. Maku jatkaa erikoisella linjalla. Tässä on ns. kaksi täysin eri puolta. Aluksi raikasta appelsiinia, persikkaa, ananasta ja kiwiä, ja sen jälkeen sellaista ruohoista kumimaisuutta, makeutta ja rypäleisyyttä. Jälkimaussa kuivaa yrttisyyttä ja humalakäpyisyyttä. Happoja todella vähän ja alkoholi on piilossa. Ymmärrän toisaalta hyvin, että tämä jakaa mielipiteet. Joillekkin tuo toinen puoli saattaa tuoda sellaista sipulia ja muuta ikävää makuun. Itselleni tämä toimii kivasti, ja on oikein mukavan erillainen Trillium.

Tölkitetty 10.6.2020 ollen nyt päivän yli 5 viikkoista. Jälleen mielenkiintoinen moscato-mehulla maustettu dialed-in lasiin. Sormen paksuinen valkea kuohkea vaahto. Hyvin samean keltaista dipaa. Tuoksussa kepeää sitrusta ja greipinkuorta, makean mehukasta trooppista hedelmää (ananasta, persikkaa, mangoa, mandariinia) ja kevyttä vihreän lehtistä humalointia. Maussa runsaasti hapanta ja suuta kuivattavaa mehuisaa greippisyyttä, ruohoista yrttisyyttä, makeahkon mehuisaa trooppista hedelmää (ananasta, mandariinia, kevyempää mangoa, persikkaa) ja kevyttä valkkarin sävyä. Katkeroa runsaammin. Jälkimaku on kuivakan katkeroinen ja happaman greippinen. Suutuntuma on kirpsakan hiilihappoinen suht keskitäyteläisellä rungolla. —————— Suht isohko ero tuoksun ja maun osalta. Tuoksussa makean hedelmäiset sävyt hallitsevat (etenkin kylmänä) ja maussa suuta kuivaa runsaan hapan katkeroinen greippisyys. Katkero on reipasta ja tuo haastavuutta tähän. Valkkaria saa etsimällä mukaan.

Todella hyvä dipa. Alkuun säikäyttää koska todella kuiva. Sitrusta ja greippiä. On maukas.

Käväisee kahden sormen mitassa. GREY’S VIEW Galaxy & Vic Secret kuivahumaloitu ja Muscat rypälemehulla maustettu DIPA. Napsakkaa tavaraa. Alkusointuja iskee verigreippi, ananaksenkuori, passiohedelmä ja Muscat. Juhlallisen tuntuinen tämä kerrassaan on. Kivennäisyyttä, yrttejä ja jopa simpukkaisuutta piisaa. Maku on nopea. Suutuntu on napakan nopea, kevyesti nopea kuohuinen ja villiluonteinen. Moscaton kuplaisuus on erittäin hyvin läsnä. Runko on häilyvästi puolitukeva, maut ja kuivahumalointi väittävät tuossa vastaan, mutta tuolla mennään. Jälkimaku on keskirunsaan kuivarypäleinen, ruohoinen, hivenen dänkki ja runsaammin mäntyinen. MUUTA MAINITTAVAA: Mainiota nautintoa se on. Rohkean persoonallinen valinta tämä Muscat rypälemehun lisääminen kuivahumaloituun olueen (= kuiva + kuiva). Rungon osalta jäin kaipaamaan rehevämpää otetta, vaikka pihkunan kiva tällaisenaankin on. Juhlavan tuntuinen. CANNED 10/6/2020 TASTED 13/7/2020

Lisää Trilliumia tähän koloseen Dialed In Moscato mehulla varustettuna😋.Tölkitetty 10.6.20 eli aikas lailla tasan 1kk ikää herralla. Kuivahumaloitu Galaxylla ja Vic Secretillä joten tuolta osin pitäisi meikäläiselle ainakin kelvata🤤. Sitruunaa,appelsiiniä ja greippisempää hajustetta leijailee sieraimille. No jopas on Verigreippisen ja happaman greipin kuorinen alku katsaus tähän kohtaan.No prkl ja kyllähän minä poika pidän vähän happamasta ja myös humaloittenkin osalta kuivemmasta kyydistä😍🍺.Sitrukset,appelsiinit ja ananaksen maut jäävät tässä vähän tuon jyräävän Greippi armeijan alle.Millä palkkasotilainaan toimii iskevän kuivaavaa humalaa ja KK:lla tausta tukea antavaa greippi vetoisempaa kuivaavaa katkeroa. Suutuntuma sopivan hapokas,kivan täyteläinen ja aikas rapsakka kyllä.👌 Omaan reikään tosi miellyttävää 😜🍺.Missä fiinisti maistellen/naatiskellen valkoviinisiäkin ulottuvuuksia voipi huomata🤔.

First Dialed-in was a success and now my second one with moscato juice. Pours hazy and yellow in color. Looks darker than it actually is. Forms a bit over one fingers thick head. Leaves markings on the edges. Scent is good here and no onion like TK and Wexi had earlier. There's pineapple, peach, melon and orange. Grassy and hoppy also. Flavour then is something else. Sweet fruits are pretty much abscent here. It's dry, bitter and really sharp, stingy and strong. Something just doesn't add up here. It's so sharp that I can't get much other flavours here. Has to be the onion that TK and Wexi mentioned. This was a let down for sure. It happens. Onward we go.

Something foolproof good. 😋 The beer pours massively thick, fully impenetrable and looks like mango juice. A dense, mousse-like head that thickens up to one finger. Just a couple of minuscule dots remain on the wall of the glass. The scent penetrates through my nostrils and enters my sensory cells that transform the sensation into an electric pulse. The brains interpret the olfactory supply as something vegetal that -- after consideration -- I associate with cooked onion. When pushing hard, I can squeeze truly distant peach in the fragrance that remains easily veiled behind the vegetal aroma. The scent is actually unpleasant, something that I didn't anticipate at all from Trillium. 🤔 The taste tries to follow the well-known Trillium standard: I pick raw mango, cantaloupe and a suggestion of peach, bodyguarded by pungent citrus pith, hefty dry-grassy hops and a generous punch of pine needles. Onion doesn't really step forward on the tongue but I can't argue that it's entirely absent either. Maybe I'm imagining. I'm also trying hard to find grape but I fail: it's nowhere in my opinion. Hop burn follows, of course, and it's sharper than what I have ever experienced before. It even starts upfront and intensifies all along the way. The body is medium to medium-full. The beer finishes with powerful dry-grassy hops, pine needles, a small injection of resin and bitter lemon pith and grapefruit peel. Again, no grape to my taste receptors, neither do I find any sweeter tropical fruit. I'm glad that I can't get cooked onion either anymore. The aftertaste fades to minimun rather rapidly but hop burn remains as the last ring of the chain. The mouthfeel is strong, rather thick, remotely vegetal and deeply throat-warming. The mouthfeel is really sharp and raw. The ridiculous hop burn points at rawness. I wouldn't be surprised as the beer was canned on 10 June 2020, i.e. 16 days ago. In addition, I'm seriously suspecting an off-flavor that shows up as cooked onion, especially in the fragrance but remotely also on the tongue. Quite far whar I would have hoped this to be. Goes down but not easily. Surely not a winner. A foolproof tasty Trillium proved to be a failure. I had rated my twenty earlier Trilliums between 3.8 and 5.0, many of them 4.4 and above. This is now the weakest link of my Trillium experience. Sooner or later, this just had to happen.

1 pint can from Spiegelau IPA-glass. Fresh stuff, canned 10.06.20. Beautiful hazy and milky yellow beer with orange tint. White fluffy foam. Delicious aroma of pineapple, grass, grapefruit, lemon and peach. Intoxicating. Medium to high carbonation. Mouthfeel is ok, I was expecting slightly thicker. There is a lot going on in this beer. Fresh fruits in the form of pineapple, grapefruit, lemon, orange, apricot, peach and grapes... You can't taste them all at the same time, but if you concentrate enough, you can get them all individually. No fruit is particularly sweet and the overall taste stays on the dry side. Dry white wine sensation lingers on the background. Some herbal and floral notes arise after the fruits. Interesting and surprisingly fitting. Malts are pretty much non-existent, just some light hay and straw here and there. Some powderish hoppy tingling on the tongue. Dry grass and grapefruit dominate the bitterness. Resinous pine/spruce and herbs can also be found. Aftertaste is long and grassy. Well made beer again from Trillium, no surprise there. Keeps all the strings together, despite the wide pallette of flavors. Good one, just a tad too dry for my taste.
