Erikoisen mausteinen, hieman jopa hiivainen APA

This one has a great spice to it! Quite a perfumed aroma. Rich and spicy taste, full bodied and not your regular pale ale. Quite heavy, would be a good pre dinner beer.

Received as a sample to review from Pint Please. Thanks! Best before 13/01/22. Label is same playful, kinda awful but acceptably so. Includes also orange peel and coriander, that's weird. Not enough flavour from hops? Doesn't mention which hops were used. Some generic flavour text though. Interesting look. See-through copper color with a solid foam. Scent is kinda weird. Not hoppy, but more malty or yeasty. Orange peel. Spicy a tad. Belgiany? Flavour of... Hmm. Nothing much? Malts, grain, coriander, perhaps distant fruitiness. Bit dark, red IPA sort of. Still, somehow it feels good to sip this. Body has good fullness and light finish which makes it a decent one in style of Pale Ales. Instead of APA though, I'd dub this an English Pale Ale. It has more maltier flavour than hop-leaning of APA. Kinda solid? But somehow just too weird. Works as a pussikalja probably, but I'd feel cheated to think this is sold as APA. It works as an ale with spices, but just something is a bit weird about it. Hard to describe.

Another beer of my Irish sample pack sent by Pint Please, Dundalk Bay Brewery and JJ's Craft Brewing Company. Thank you! đŸ™đŸ» Clear, deep rusty beer with bold, long-lasting carbonation creates a spongy, cream-colored head that grows two fingers tall. The carbonation keeps on producing more bubble chains and maintains a dense layer on the top. The head and lace ring are inseparable and the latter climbs up onto the sides of the glass. The nose receives strong malt and a hoppy tail. A suggestion of bitter orange peel accompanies in the distance. Much later, after some profound warming of the beer, coriander unveils itself. The malty base is slightly bitter and medium-strong on the tongue whereas the hoppy touch is gentler than what the fragrance suggests. The malty element gives actually an impression of graham crackers. Bitter orange peel and a small dollop of grapefruit zest tweak the package more citrusy. The case of coriander in the beer is dichotomous: first, I couldn't recognize it all but then later, when warmer, it signals its presence. Overall, the taste profile is decent and clean as well as nicely tweaked herbally. The body is light. The beer finishes with bitter malt, grapefruit pith, bitter orange peel and a bit grassy hops. Coriander shows timidly its existence. The aftertaste starts to sing "O say can you see, by the dawn's early light...", but fails to remember the next line and stops quickly. The mouthfeel is light, modestly crisp but still quite gluggable and smooth, especially when warmer. There's a remote herbal hint which took me a while to detect. Yet, the mouthfeel is also clean and balanced. The label follows the familiar path of Dundalk Bay. "American colors" play on the can, still I wouldn't necessarily associate the appearance with the beerstyle of American Pale Ale. Otherwise the can looks nothing to write home about.

Auburn color, light foam, low carbonation. On the nose spice and citrus. Taste is bitter, complex - hints of coriander and orange peel.

Vimonen irkkusetistÀ vielÀ mavulle, kiitos Pintin ukoille nÀistÀ. Tölkin etiketti on panimon kÀyttÀmÀn linjan mukainen, Ameriikan lipun vÀrit on kivasti saatu tÀhÀn korostamaan APAn lajia. NÀkyy kyllÀ hyllyssÀ. Lasiin kaatuu tummahkon meripihkan vÀrinen, muutoin kirkas olut. Vaahto on valkoinen, sekakuplainen höttö joka tyyntyy kestÀvÀksi lautaksi oluen pintaan. Tarttuu liukuen lasiin. Tuoksu on hyvinkin belginen korianterilla ja kÀyneen kukkaisella mausteisuudellaan. Sitruksinen ja greippinen hedelmÀisyys tukee sekÀ belgiaa, ettÀ kevyttÀ mÀntyisyyttÀ. Siirappinen karamellisyys on luontevasti tÀhÀn runkoon istuva hyvÀn maltaisuuden rinnalle.

Solid American style pale ale from Brewmaster. Liking the color, the rich flavour and the fact that it delivers exactly what it says on the can. Not as stand out as their Micro IPA but would definitely buy again. Nuff said.
