Spoiler alert! I've never had a pineapple upside down cake. Huge pineapple in the aroma. Makes me want some actual pineapple right now. There's something else in there as well, but again, I've never had pineapple upside down cake. (I read the can. It's lactose). Taste has the most pineapple I've ever tasted in a beer with pineapple in its name. Great flavor that is complimented by the addition of lactose. Medium-full body with a medium amount of carbonation. Not the most refreshing beer in the world, but it sure is tasty. I'd pick it up again. 4/5
