Cannonball
8.2% Scotch Ale / Wee Heavy
Scottish Wee Heavy Scotch Strong Ale A Scotch Strong Ale that is deep ruby red in color but with a surprisingly lighter body. It boasts a wonderful roasty nose and a chocolate middle. The East Kent Goldings hops we use compliment the specialty malts in our beer: caramel, munic, chocolate and roasted barley.

A Texas Duo beer to share with my son-in-law in Texas. This one is a Fort Worth Texas brew. Pours to a very deep ruby red color. Aroma has alcohol, roasted malt and a small amount of chocolate. Flavor is first alcohol, but not barrel aged, dark roasted malt, and sweet caramel. This is followed by notes of chocolate. The finish drops the sweetness entirely. While the deep roasted malt remains, a slightly sour and bittersweet coffee appears. I am enjoying this beer much more the second time around.

Having a beer from Fort Worth Texas at my sister's house on the Guadalupe River. Medium-sized head that is dissipating. Not a lot of carbonation. Crystal clear deep red color, beautiful. Aroma is more like an amber. Texture is light. Flavor starts with a roasted malt and transitions into a mildly strong, crisp chocolate. This is followed by a gentle bitter finish. Very interesting beer for a Scottish wee heavy. The 8.2% alcohol is totally hidden.
