Only had one black IPA before and I can't remember who by. I can remember it being more IPA flavour than this - this one is a bit more like a stout without the creamy heaviness to me, but did become more beer-like and less stouty as it warmed if that makes any sense. At 6.66% it is quite boozy and I think the darker beers always taste stronger than light ones anyway. It doesn't blow your head off, but if it was 7.5-8% I imagine it would taste really strong. Anyway, quite like this, despite it not being my preferred style. Worth a go and see what you think.

Not sure on the comments referring to this as a stout. Must be previous brews. 🤷‍♂️ The flavour is full of pine and citrus that squarely puts it into the IPAs for me. Like the choice to go dark as it allows it to hang out with on the beer rack full of imperials.

A bit disappointed with this one as it’s advertised as a black Neipa but tastes like a standard stout to me

Had the festive edition Hail Santa. Honestly the smell of the spices is stronger than the taste. Bit subtle on the first sip but more coffee/chocolate flavours. Still a nice stout

Slightly confused by this one. Great name and good flavour of black currant, just not sure I get the IPA but. Almost tastes like a fruity porter. Enjoyed it just not what I expected.
