Beer 4/4 of my self-made flight.
Muddy, deep dark brown beer with a tiny-bubbled, beige head. The olfactory provision shows faint raw chocolate, flavored with mint, a suggestion of aniseed and a distant coffeeish note.
The tastebuds get seriously confused because of the strongly lingering lemon pulp and a moderate nuance of orange zest, accompanied by blackcurrant leaves, roasted malt, sparkling wine and some wine yeast.
The body is light to light-medium. The beer finishes with hefty lemon peel, a good amount of white wine and yeast. I can also trace blackcurrant and hints of burned malt in the background. The duration of the aftertaste is medium to long.
The mouthfeel is relatively crisp, a bit tart, interestingly tropical, dry as well as mouth-drying. Overall this is funky.
Is this a Stout? If it is, it's really experimental and hybrid. Difficult to assess.
