BEER STYLE: Imperial Stout (Bourbon BA) COUNTRY: USA ABV.: 15.2% COLOUR (EBC): Cola Black (65,0) BITTERS (EBU/IBU): 60.0 AROMA: Deep in Bourbon. Lovely. Cookies, some dry breads, flowers. Lovely. HEAD: Pretty much nonexistent. GREY’S VIEW Orange Peels & Cocoa Nibs flavoured Imperial Stout aged In Bourbon Barrels. Althought it starts strong with Bourbon, it has that odd feel of contamination in it. You know, that quirky, wrong and odd flavor? Mmm. Let’s try it anyway. Flavours are truly bourbon soaked! Some solid chocolates, fragile hints from orange chocolate confectionaries, minerals and stones. Mmm, odd. After that first bite. Aftertaste has some mouth filling minerals with deep feel from chocolate and some herbs on the background. OTHER NOTES: Hard to say. Is it contaminated or not? Hard to say, although it tastes good. Warm, round and orange. Mellow, and dangerous as you cant taste the alcohol! One of the best stouts I've tried.

Mother's Day family beer share. Bourbon, chocolate, coffee and in place of the typical dark fruits, I'm getting oranges in the aroma. Taste has the same flavors of the base BCBS, but then the orange hits mid-palate and changes the whole beer. I think this one would benefit from extended cellaring. It's good, very good, but I feel with much more age, this could be better. 4/5 Somewhat reminiscent of an orange tootsie roll pop
