Side by side review with 2017 and 2019 vintages 17: Sweet bourbony aroma. Maybe some caramel notes as well. Taste has bourbon and caramel, very sweet and with a noticeable booziness that starts to grow in the mid-palate. Oak comes through in the finish and aftertaste. 19: Bourbon, oak and caramel notes in the aroma. Taste has bourbon and caramel, nowhere near as sweet. The booze really starts to show up in the late mid-palate. Some oak comes through in the finish. While I do like the balance of the 2019, the sweetness in the 2017 helps to balance the bitterness of the oak. I think I have to give it to the 2017. 4.5/5

Huge bourbon in the aroma. Vanilla, brown sugar and oak as well. Taste has an explosion of flavor. First I get vanilla and oak from the barrel aging, followed by brown sugar, followed by bourbon. Surprisingly, for how hard the bourbon hits, it waits until about mid-palate to show up. Not really getting any chocolate notes like I get in the regular version. Gets better and better as it warms up. Boozy, yet delicious. 4.5/5
