This is a Russian imperial stout with syrah grapes added and aged on oak. I'm getting grapes and oak in the aroma along with some chocolate. Taste has the grapes first, which are slightly bitter and with a bit of spiciness to them. Following this, I get a good amount of the oak this was aged in. Chocolate and even some coffee beyond that. The oak lingers into the aftertaste. Very good balance, with no one flavor stealing the show, and nowhere near as sweet as I was expecting (which is a good thing). Medium-full body with a medium carbonation. Well made stout. It's like the perfect hybrid of a wine and stout. Very unique. I may grab another in the future. 4/5
