75 Minute IPA 7.5%, Dogfish Head Brewery, United States
9 notes
3.5
75 Minute IPA
7.5% India Pale Ale
What began as a cask-conditioned ale at our Rehoboth brewpub back in 2011, quickly grew to become a cult-favorite amongst craft enthusiasts. From the groucho glasses that adorned the label to it’s slightly dry and lingering bitterness, 75 Minute was (and is) beloved by many. Now in our latest iteration, this classic IPA is again brewed with maple syrup from Sam’s family farm in Massachusetts, while being continually hopped throughout the boil, and then dry-hopped with a slew of cascade hops. The result is a malty and earthy brew with citrusy-pine aromas, balanced by subtle maple notes.

Very tasty has a nice crisp citrus taste with a strong hop finish, slight bit of malt but it never over powers or takes over, this is another winner from dog fish head

Citrusy hops and maple syrup in the aroma. Taste has citrusy hops, slightly piney hops, grapefruit and a somewhat subtle maple syrup sweetness. Medium+ body with a medium amount of carbonation. Very tasty. I don't know if the recipe was changed from last year, but I think it's better this year. 4.25/5

This has a citrusy hops taste with some very light pine & sweet toffee malts. I was picking up some maple & then read the bottle that it has maple syrup added. I thought I was a little off until I read the bottle. It is not that strong but does add to the sweetness. Overall a little to sweet for me. The hops are there too but I prefer a more hoppy IPA. The malty/sweet side is a little to much. It is still not bad & 3.25 is the true rating.

Slightly hoppy aroma with what seems to be a mix of citrus and floral hops. Taste has a low to moderate hop bitterness, very floral flavor and just a touch of maple syrup on the back end. I'm gonna let this warm up a bit to see what changes and I'll update Update: As touch of caramel shows up on the back end and aftertaste as this warms. I wish the maple syrup they advertise showed up more, but otherwise a good IPA. 4/5
