The beer pours limpid, deep copper with truly introvert carbonation. The emerging head is restrained, rising solely to level of one third of a finger. The velvety layer shrinks soon to a gossamery imagination that breaks into wafting patches. A few millimeters strong lace ring decorates the top throughout the entire drink.
The fragrance is relatively thick, putting forward bags of sweet malt, a hefty amount of syrupy malt bread and strong medium-sweet caramel. A little bit of molasses and a more pronounced biscuity note follow in the immediate proximity. One can also detect some heavily sugared black tea.
The tongue gets somewhat bitter caramel and mild-syrupy bread, accompanied by remote biscuit dough, a good handful of raisin as well as a tiny pinch of dried date. I also can't avoid sensing sweet tea in the palate.
The body is light-medium. The beer finishes with medium-crisp, bitter caramel, a tad rye malt, rather coarse lemon peel and a strong grainy nuance. A faint idea of raisin hovers somewhere but is camouflaged by the piney injection. The aftertaste stays in mouth for a rather long time.
The mouthfeel is medium-crisp and medium-strong. It's also quite smooth although remotely tangy, a bit mouth-drying but interestingly also somewhat lip-glueing.
