Lots of chocolate, a little bit of booze and some lactose sweetness in the aroma. Taste has a lot of rich chocolate right up front. This is followed by the lactose and a slight bit of roastiness, presumably from the malts. Booze is slightly apparent in the aftertaste, but not in the sip or going down. Well, I suppose it's there to an extent, but it's not overwhelming or distracting. Very good balance going on here. Rich, full body with an appropriately lower carbonation. Kind of coats the mouth like a glass of chocolate milk does. We'll see how this develops as it warms more. As of right now, I feel comfortable giving this a 4/5. Upon warming more, not much has changed, but I think it is a bit better. 4.25/5
Side note: This is from The Hideout Brewing Company, which I visited once. I enjoyed the beers they had to offer, but I think their location was a bit too secluded. I don't think they're open, as I saw a post on Facebook where they listed the building for sale. Hopefully whoever buys it does it some justice.
Edit: They posted on Facebook yesterday (March 6th, 2019) that they're closing without having sold. Sad news, but at least I got to visit and enjoy their beers.

I'm not getting a whole lot in the aroma. Maybe some faint coconut. The taste has a nice amount of almonds. Very faint coconut, just like in the aroma. Either way, this is a tasty brown ale, a bit different from the others. 3.75/5

I can't knock this beer. It's exactly as described. Tastes of bell peppers. 3.5/5
