I thought the beer was tasty, fun, and lots of potential. My first sense was its a very heavy beer as in a super dark beer. (never got into the sunlight so truly dont know its color. Went from can to stomach mmm.) give it a try

It's very thin feeling in the mouth and not a lot of flavor for allegedly being a stout aged and bourbon barrels. I can get the flavor but it's not very predominant at all. For the cost of this, I think they spent more on the marketing of the label than they did on actually making a beer that was good. It's not horrible, but it's not something I would ever go back to again.

Bourbon and chocolate in the aroma. Taste has smooth bourbon, chocolate, oak and roasted malts. The body is medium-full with a lower amount of carbonation. This is tasty, a bit expensive ($8.49 per 16oz. can), but tasty. Solid 4/5

Last night... Tequila, lime and salt in the aroma. Taste has lime first, followed by salt and finishing with the tequila. Very refreshing. I'd love to revisit this in the summer, if it's still available. 4/5

Backlog from January 13th Taste has citrusy and piney notes, medium bitterness that lingers for a little while and grapefruit and oranges. Solid malt backbone tying it all together. Medium+ body with medium-ish carbonation. Definitely a well made double IPA. High 3.75/5

Backlog from January 8th Citrusy aroma. Taste has a mix of citrusy and piney hops with some grapefruit notes. Medium amount of lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Decently refreshing. Medium carbonation. Nice IPA. Solid 3.75/5

Very boozy aroma. Bourbon and caramel notes follow. Taste has molasses, brown sugar and bourbon. Despite smelling very boozy, the booze isn't crazy. Not my favorite bourbon barrel aged barleywine, but it's still pretty solid. 4/5

Rum and coconut in the aroma. Taste has rum first, followed by coconut, pineapple, tropical hops and lactose. While the rum shows up first, it doesn't dominate the flavor, but it does linger in the aftertaste. Definitely enjoyable. Solid 3.75/5

Faint cinnamon in the aroma. Taste has cinnamon and sweet malts. Almost tastes like there's some apple in there as well. Not overly spiced, which is a refreshing change for the style. High 3.75/5
