Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. 🦃 Best holiday ever invented. Plenty of traditional family food🍗, football🏈, and if you're lucky, some great craft beer🍺. I've had this holiday beer before but it seems appropriate for today. Short and completely white head. Hazy color that's mostly Orange with traces of red. Aroma is nothing but Berliner Weiss, can smell wheat malt and sour berry fruit. I might have underrated this the last time. The cranberry is up front and blends perfectly with seasonal spice. Very fruity and they nailed the holiday spirit. Going to have to up my rating.

Thought I was having a new beer on this 4th of July holiday at the swimming pool. Found out I had it in 2019. Here, at this pool. I'll rate it anyway. Pouring into a solid yeti cup, seems to be a light yellow with plenty of head. Sweet citrus aroma. Thought it was just going to be a simple pale Ale. I was wrong. Flavor gives orange peel and a touch of grapefruit. Very refreshing on a hot, sunshiny day. Good beer for the pool.

At Trim Tab Brewing enjoying another recently released Stout. Again using real ingredients. Very small, dark head. Open glass hindered aroma, only could detect dark malt. Texture was much lighter than I was expecting. Still had softness and modestly dry feel. Dark roasted malt in abundance. A dark raw chocolate liqueur alcohol in the background. Peanut butter comes late middle and travels through the finish. Dark chocolate finishes a little stronger than early on. Enjoyed this soft yet dry Stout with the peanut butter was a bit too far in the background. It should have a more predominant role in the flavor.

At Trim Tab Brewing enjoying a few on draft. New stout, just released. Using real ingredients of coconut and vanilla bean. Congratulations to them on ingredient integrity. Small 6 oz serving, brief dark brown head. Aroma immediately relays the coconut and alcohol. Texture is soft, heavy, almost syrupy. Flavor has sweet dark molasses, Barrel aging is apparent, raw coconut and a very well-balanced vanilla. Has an alcohol presence that seems stronger than 9.8%. Late in the finish, the Barrel aging with the deep malt gave it a dark chocolate quality. Very impressed with this Stout. Not known for heavy stouts, Trim Tab did good.

Getting ready to watch all of the Alabama alumni playing for the Eagles in today's Super Bowl. Lots of family at my son's house with food on the grill. Looking forward to the game, Go Eagles! 🦅 Pours with a very hazy deep burnt orange color. One finger of head but disappears shortly. Lightly sour aroma, sugary, background of cranberry. Full of flavor. Has the typical blur liner why sour with its own characteristics of cinnamon nutmeg and spice. Cranberry is in the background but not as strong as the other flavors. As it travels into the finish I distinct flavor of clove appears. Interesting and refreshing. A spicy and holiday take on a Berliner Weiss. Not my favorite category but I think they did a good job.

First game of the season and the Crimson Tide is doing good. Love that college football has started again. Starts out with a high and very tan head. Recedes down to just a coating on the top. Aroma has dark heavy malt with notes of coffee. Color is totally dark and opaque. Light and thin texture for such a dark beer. Roasted malt is in the forefront. Faint hints of a nutty background and some dry cocoa. Finish just continues this roasted flavor. This is not a complex beer. Not strong on flavor and does not convey the hazelnut that I was expecting. Not impressed.

Strong aroma of this sour wheat came quickly while just pouring from the can. Very thick head, with a cloud like fluffiness, has a slightly orange appearance. Color is a slightly hazy sunset orange. Light texture. Tartness is immediate and the raspberries are distinctive. Can't seem to find the cherries. Finish has a very moderate sour quality. I am not a fan of powerful sours but I have enjoyed several Berliner weisses that only have a moderate amount of tartness. When adding some excellent flavors, such as these raspberries, I find myself pleasantly surprised.

At my son's house getting ready for the super bowl. He bought a cool house stout for us to split. Deep brown color with medium high very dark head. Coffee like aroma. Light and thin texture. Dry with deep roasted malt, has a roasted coffee type bitterness. Finish turns even more dry with some subtle raw hazelnut notes. Has all the qualities of an Irish Stout. I just prefer my stouts a little sweeter but this is a very good example in its category.
