Driving across Montana and stopping at Big Sky Brewing in Missoula Montana. Famous local brewery. Had to try this seasonal ale that has such a unusual appearance.
Very little head but the color is a rose amber and very light, totally clear. No effervescence that I can see. To look at it, I would swear it was a rosé wine. The sweet fruity smell of the huckleberries is at the forefront. Soft, very sweet, fruity huckleberries dominate the flavor. Mild but very tasty. Same flavor through the finish with no bitterness. Finish is quick.
This is more of a fruit beer. Could almost have it as a breakfast juice. Huckleberry flavor was excellent. Very unusual and absolutely delicious.

Still traveling, Montana is very beautiful. Had to stop in Missoula Missouri at Big Sky Brewing Company and have a small one. Their Moose Drool brown ale is famous around here and I wanted to try it on tap at the brewery.
Color is crystal clear, a reddish brown deep color. Sweet amber type aroma. Smooth and light texture. Taste has some very mild roasted coffee that smoothly transitions into a finish that has a touch of raw Cocoa. Well hidden are some light notes of bitterness. This is a very drinkable brew.

I liked this brown ale a lot - nice easy drink with light flavours of malt and a hint of marijuana brownie. Compliments a light to medium strength cigar beautifully
