Goffs Brewery
Winchcombe, England
chevron_leftchevron_right
The Cotswold’s leading craft beer micro-brewery. Goffs Brewery was born in the shadows of Sudeley Castle by Marcus and Alison Goff, both of whom have a passion for creating great tasting beers. Marcus’ father, Master Brewer Brian Goff, created the first batch of Jouster in 1994 – a good honest all English hopped session bitter – which has twice been a finalist in CAMRA’s Great British Beer Festival, as well as winning many other regional awards. After brewing the now renowned Cheltenham Gold for race week, demand was so great it was soon promoted to our permanent roster of core beers. Accolades such as Gloucestershire’s Beer of the Year 2017 make this American hopped golden ale a firm favourite in pubs and bars across the county and beyond.

Dark, rich and smooth. Malty with hints of chocolate, coffee and vanilla in the flavour. Enjoyable Porter.

Decent fruity aroma. Creamy mouthfeel with an obvious mango taste, but not as overpowering as I was expecting. Hoppy notes lead to a subtle sweet finish. Slight bitter aftertaste, but enjoyable. Smooth and easy drinking. A good session ale that's quaffable. Not as sweet as it could have been. A very balanced drink that's totally quaffable.
