Décevante, le goût est bon mais trop peu présent, flotteuse

Hazy yellow beer. Limited carbonation, a restrained head. Mango in the scent, maybe a hint of passionfruit, too. Definitely mango on the tongue. And passionfruit, wheat malt and a salty hint. Feels light, zesty, pithy and refreshing.

Flight 4/4. This is a punch against my tastebuds. Opaque, very dark brown beer. A modest fawn lacing. The nose gets shocked by the boozy olfactory slam. Strong barrel notes in the air, must be Scotch? Oaky, dark roasted malt and a hint of peat. This. Is. Intriguing! Indeed, powerful smoky whisky in the taste. Oak barrel, dark cacao powder, brown sugar, a pinch of toffee, blackcurrant and blackberry. Wow. Quite a cocktail! The sensation is full but not robust, strongly barrel aged, boozy, marginally smoky, liqueur-like, warming. Absolutely! Warming. Nice but a tad arrogant. Could benefit from cellaring?
