Smooth and perfectly not too hoppy for a blonde. Great random find, and pairs excellent with a good burger.

Spritziges Bier mit leicht fruchtiger Note. Ein echt süffiges Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Auch die Aufmachung der Dose (mit typischem Santa Cruz Design) gefällt mir gut

Flight 4/4. Lucid, very deep dark brown beer with an off-white, cotton lace ring. Timid nuances of raisin, sweet malt and biscuit emanate to the nostrils. Medium-strong licorice, sweet dark malt and a whisper of raisin constitute the key elements of the palate. The full-bodied beer ends with bags of sweet malt, sweet brown biscuit, dough and faint raisin. The aftertaste is, further, slightly boozy and remains in the mouth rather long. The mouthfeel is a bit sappy, sticky and lip-glueing. Moreover, it's also quite slow, desserty and distantly boozy.

Flight 3/4. Murky, jet black beer with tranquil, pale fawn, silky lace ring. The scent serves a lofty piece of mouthwatering brownie, recognizeable delicate vanilla as well as sweet pastry with a dark-chocolatey twist. The nose enjoys the lovely delicious pastry, vanilla, a bit of dark chocolate and distinct licorice. The body is medium-full. The finish continues from upfront with sweet pastry, a bit of brownie and faint licorice. The aftertaste gives joy to the tastebuds over long period. The mouthfeel is a tad medicinal, somewhat sticky and lip-glueing. I could also describe it medium-full and desserty.

Flight 2/4. Opaque, black beer with a meager, light beige, velvety lace ring. The olfactory package contains a good amount of licorice, burned malt and a bit of roasted coffee beans. The taste profile includes strong licorice that is seasoned with nice soft espresso, a tiny dollop of cream, some roasted coffee beans and a tad burned malt. The body is medium to medium-full. The beer ends with heftily, slightly bitter licorice and a suggestion of common polypody. The duration of the aftertaste is short. The mouthfeel is rather strong, medicinal, slightly sticky and lip-glueing. It's also neatly warming but way too thin for 9.0 %.

Flight 1/4. Transparent, amber beer with decent, short-lived carbonation builds a neat, off-white, silky lace ring. The fragrance is appealing crisp, offering a generous punch of spruce needles, hefty DDH, resin and grapefruit peel. The palate displays massive fruity DDH, bags of grapefruit, surprisingly soft resin on the piney bed as well as faint mango and cantaloupe. Alcohol is fully camouflaged. The medium-bodied beer finishes with flamboyant DDH and a reasonable punch of resin, followed by tropical mango, cantaloupe and zesty lemon. The aftertaste satisfies the tastebuds for long. The mouthfeel is relatively crisp, tropical, unexpectedly sticky and lip-glueing. It's also intriguingly medium-strong.
