Cracking drink. Nice malty aroma. Creamy mouthfeel with a nice bitter malty taste. Subtle sweetness leading on to a decent bitter finish. Enjoyable drink. Very quaffable and easy drinking. A good session ale even at the abv. More like a gentle porter than the midlands mild I grew up with. Having said that still very drinkable

New version of the original, abv up to 4.4%. decent drink. nice malty aroma. toasted malt taste with a nice caramel note. subtle chocolate finish. slight bitter aftertaste but enjoyable. very smooth and easy drinking session ale.
