Old Tin Hat Brewery
South Africa

Our Old Tin Hat range of craft beers are brewed, filled, labelled and dispatched from our Elim Brewery at Black Oyster Catcher Wine Estate near Cape Agulhas. Ours is the most Southerly African Brewery on the tip of the African continent. The 'Brodie'. A patented steel combat helmet, was designed in 1915, by John Brodie. The Allied Forces of World War 1 and 2 nicknamed the Brodie helmet the Battle Bowler, Tommy Helmet and Doughboy Helmet. The name that stuck with the British and South Africans was 'Tin Hat'. Its adoptive name, by South African veterans after World War 2, 'Old Tin Hat' is a symbol of the camaraderie experienced, and in memory of their comrades lost in battle.

Honig kommt nicht ganz so stark durch, aber der Rooibos Geschmack ist, als wären da ein paar Teebeutel reingegangen worden. Nicht schlecht (vor allem wenn man Rooibos mag), mal was anderes
