Lucid gold is this friend. The carbonation is obedient although shows signs of impatience when cracking the can open. All ends well though. A velvety creamy head emerges on the top, exceeds two fingers and descends gradually to a still impressive lace ring on the sides. A dense horizontal ornament orbits the rim of the glass.
The scent doesn't offer much. The aromas are impotent. Just a weak suggestion of orange and a malty idea in the background.
The gustatory sphere is really nice. I'm getting zesty lemon pulp, lemon pith and a few drops of orange juice, as well. Not sure if there's malt in the shadows or not. Maybe a pinch. The experience is attractive.
The body is light. The finish is citrusy, quite restrained but not bitter at all. Nothing that would point at excessive pineyness or metal. Enjoyable from the first sip up to the completion.
Feels light, zesty, pulpy, refreshing and balanced. A clean entity. The best non-alc IPA of this Dry January so far. I hope I can remember this brewery in my next Dry January order.
