At Drowned Valley Brewing Company in Cartersville Georgia having the fourth beer on a flight of four. This won a silver medal at the 2022 World Beer Cup. Sweet dark malt aroma. Very soft texture. Flavor brings a dark roasted malt, a little on the dry side, low sweetness level, and a deep roasted coffee bitterness. Finish leaves the mouth feeling as if you just had a cold strong black coffee. This is a pretty good oatmeal stout, but I don't believe it is a 5.0 beer. I've had many that I would have over this, especially Vallenson's in Texas. Good but not really great.

At drowned Valley Brewing Company Cartersville Georgia having the third beer on a flight of four. They have won numerous awards for this brown ale. Very rustic and deep malt aroma. First sip is surprising. Flavor gives a strong burnt dark malt, double the ingredients, and a pronounced smoky umbrella covering the entirety of the mouth. Only small traces of the normal sweet brown ale is evident. The finish continues the smoky characteristic, adds a crisp bitterness. I feel as though I was burning wood and a huge cloud of smoke invaded my nostrils. A shock at first but not bad once you got used to it. I had a memorable chared smoky brown ale in Galveston that I liked and this reminds me of it.

At Drowned Valley Brewing having the second beer on a flight of four. Dark brown color but not totally opaque. Small amount of red light shines through. Small sniffer glass doesn't allow much aroma but alcohol is definitely present. Oh yes! Alcohol is present. Seems stronger than 7.9%. Flavor brings a pungent ripe prune. Dark fruity taste is good but the exhale of alcohol is unusual. Reminds me of a strong alcohol dark wine on the finish. Not that bad ale but I probably won't have another.

At Drowned Valley Brewing Company in Cartersville Georgia. First time here, trying a flight of their award-winning beers. This is the first of four. Totally clear, deep golden color. Creamy texture. Nice, strong flavor. Cereal, a sweet corn with traces of tart lemon in the background. Drifts away in the finish adding just a touch of bitterness. Smooth and refreshing. I very much enjoy the extra flavor in this blonde.
