Nightcap by the lake. 2:20 a.m. Summer. Vacation. Wheat wine. Happy. Life is good when you make it good. Let me see if I can make something out of the appearance in this relative darkness.  [•••]  Oh yes. Looks turbid sable. The ruby hue is distinct if any light is allowed to flap on the glass. Subdued carbonation. A beige soapy lacing embellishes the top but merely up to half a finger and soon not even that. A few nuances emanate to my nostrils, like date, biscuit and raisin. They are all fairly innocent here. Complexity is not an asset of this beer, at least not yet. The taste is different. Fortunately. Impressive date, a bit of sweet crunchy fig, fresh raisin and a good slam of brown sugar are brave enough to make the first move. The second wave of components, which is distinctly thinner than the first set, contains milk chocolate, cacao nibs, wheat bun and sweet biscuit. I'm starting to like this! Alcohol? This clocks a whopping 12.7 %. The sweetness camouflages it entirely. Beautiful! The body is full. No wonder! The backslide is gentle and long-lasting. Flavorwise pretty much like before. Yes. Date and fig and this and that. The sensation is full, thick, viscous, sticky. Like kissel. Deep. Glues lips for sure. Appealingly warming. Dangerously seductive. Started a bit like meh but improved vastly.

Ei mun makuun tää.. ei oikein toimi maut kylmänä eikä reilusti lämmenneenäkään. No hitaasti kun siemailee niin alas menee ja lämmittelee siinä samalla kivasti 😃

Total lunar eclipse, and the sky is damn cloudy. 🌑😒 Okay, the next time in Finland will be on the New Year's Eve 2028. Therefore, my beer is dark, what else? Not sure whether it's deep dark brown or black. Opaque in any case. Restrained carbonation although far from dead. A bronze velvety head climbs one finger tall and dissolves gradually to a thick lace ring. Roasted malt, slightly burned, peanut jam and licorice emanate to my nostrils. Licorice grows significantly in intensity on the tastebuds, as well. It also gains sweeter candy-like nuances. Roasted malt, albeit not burned this time, cough syrup, peanut jam, a proposal of sweet bun dough and an alcoholic wink feed into the gustatory journey and make it complete. The body is full. I can not only taste but also otherwise sense it. Nice! The sweet licorice is still powerful in the end but a bit less so than before. All in all, a narrower finish than upfront when the few elements are dropped on the road, one by one. The mouthfeel is full, sticky, candy-like, desserty and also slightly medicinal. Glues lips, for sure. It's also quite deep but simultaneously fairly simple and straightforward. Not complex at all. A very tasty piece anyway.

Lähes vaahdoton kaadettessa, tuoksussa todella täyteläistä bourbonia ja mallasta. Maussa todella dominoivana bourbon-vanilja, sekä rusinainen ja leipäinen makeus. Lisäksi löytyy hieman suklaata sekä kevyttä katkeroa. Suutuntuma hieman ohut prosentteihin nähden, mutta maku on sitäkin intensiivisempi ja omaan makuun sopii erittäin hyvin. Hiilihappoja voisi olla hieman enemmän, nyt käytännössä hapoton.

Keskiviikkokaljan paikka 🍺 pitkästä aikaa bw:tä lasiin ja tällä kertaa hollannista. Tuoksu: karamellisen maltainen, luumuinen/rusinainen, leivoksinen. Suutuntuma on pehmeästi liukuva. Makumaailmassa samoja elementtejä, kuin tuoksussa yhdessä kevyen nahkaisuuden ja takaa kurkkivan tumman sokerisuuden kanssa. Kivan pehmeä ja täyteläinen, hieman makea makumaailma, vaikka mikään paksu liemi ei olekaan kyseessä. Kyllä tällaisia imeskelee mielellään alle 4€:lla 🍻
