A beer named after one of the leading Marxist–revolutionary theorists, influential more than a hundred years ago ⚒️ She argued that, unlike Marx who concentrated on the strive of the proletariat to establish a workers' dictatorship within a country, the expansion of capitalism necessitates access to new areas and markets. She wasn't entirely wrong as that time was characterized by fierce colonial imperialism. Nevertheless, she further posited that the world would once be one single capitalist market, and in the absence of any further expansionary potential, capitalism would collapse. But it never happened. Or maybe we haven't seen it, yet? Who knows. The appearance of the beer is, at least, opaque black. A light beige, small-bubbled head exceeds two fingers and descends to a still generous lace ring. The retention seems to be extraordinarily long. The scent is rather suppressed: distant roasted malt, rye flour, a twist of licorice root, blackcurrant twig and a piney addition. The taste gives roasted malt, a pinch of burned wood, bitter raw licorice root, blackcurrant, resin, remote coffee and pine needle, in various volumes though. The body is light. The end offers especially blackcurrant, resin and roasted malt. The mouthfeel is light, roasty, marginally woody, drying as well as lip-glueing. Decent but far from revolutionary.

Kuparinen. Yhden sormen vaahto. Reunusta 3mm, puolipinta. Tuoksussa ruusua, kardemummaa (glögiä), mansikkaa. Maku glögiä, mansikkamehua, kevyttä vehnää, rosmariinikin nousee. Yllättävän hyvä, en ollut kovin vakuuttunut nähdessäni, mutta piti tämäkin kokeilla.

Kirkas kupari ja kullan väliin menevä. Yhden sormen vaahto. 4-6mm reunus, epätasainen täysipinta. Tuoksu viinin lehteä, kukkaisuutta, sitruksia kirpeyttä, sekä makeahko että happamaa marjaisuutta. Maku maltainen, hieman punamaltaisuutta, ruusunmarjaa. Katkerot, marjaisa happamuus ja kevyt marjainen makeus lyövät kättä. Loppua kohden kääntyy humalavetoisemmaksi ja katkerammaksi. Edelleen ruusunmarja päällä. Makeus nousee pikkuhiljaa korostaen hedelmäisiä ja marjaisa aromeita, sekä tuoden humalaan syvyyttä. Luumarjan löytyvät, etenkin nektariini ja keltainen luumu. Hyvä, toimiva, luonteikas. Ei kuitenkaan poikkeuksellisen hyvä.
