Impenetrable, raisin brown beer with controlled carbonation unleashes a warm white, moussy head that elevates one finger tall. The lengthy retention maintains a long-lasting dense cover on the surface. The nose picks medium-sweet malty, biscuity aromas, a bit of raisin, as well. Not much else, I wonder if this is too chilly to release adequate olfactory nuances. The taste profile is truly bitter and alcoholic. My taste receptors observe bitter amber malt, cracker dough, strong piney hops and an idea of raisin but not really the entire punch. A biting version of Tripel, I'd rather associate this with a strong Ambrée, perhaps the American version with bags of piney hops. The body clocks medium-full to full. Sufficient for the ABV. The finish is tangy piney, heavily grassy and strongly pithy citrusy. Not particularly pleasant. Isolated paradise on the altar of aftertastes; lacerated innocence, holy abstinence. The mouthfeel is full, tangy, piney, sharp and crisp. It's dry and drying as well as a tad alcoholic. Not particularly appealing.

A supermarket beer. Shows a turbid, deep amber face. Aggressive carbonation spits out a ridiculous foamy skyscraper with a whipped-creamy texture. Gotta be careful when pouring. Takes a bit of time to settle. Soon, anyway, the foamy tower collapses to a billowy ring on the top. Subdued nose. Grapefruit pulp and peel reach my nostrils first. A malty hint emanates from the background. Otherwise, the cocktail is numb. The tongue gets fruity but somewhat shy citrusy flavors: grapefruit zest, pith and peel, that is, all possible parts of the fruit. A small injection of mandarin, distant biscuit and a malty suggestion can be added to the list. The body is light. The finish is equally citrusy and fresh fruity as the actual taste profile earlier. We studied rocks and plants, flowers, trees and bees and ants; slept on hammocks without pillows, eating rats and armadillos till I realized on reflection; it's natural selection! Yeah! The mouthfeel is light, zesty, effervescent and refreshing. Somewhat pulpy and pithy. It's also a bit crisp, moderately dry and slightly drying. Basically, the package is alright but could portray more character.
