Hedelmäinen, hivenen kitkerä ja sopivan katkera

Ihan mukavan raikas vehnäolut, jossa vivahde korianteria ja appelsiiinia havaittavissa.

Perinteisempi ipa, mutta paljon trooppista hedelmää. Katkeroa, tasapainoinen.

Relatively lucid, straw to pale yellow beer with aggressive carbonation unlocks a sturdy soapy head that shoots six to seven fingers high. Whoaah! Fortunately, the foamy rocket lands quickly from the clouds to a messy lacing on the top. A number of smaller traces are left on the glass. Grapefruit, lemon and dry grass are my immediate takeaways from the fragrance. Even marginally weedy, I would say. A herbal whisper of whitepepper powder finds its way to my nose, as well. The taste offers grapefruit peel, lemon zest and pith, a smaller amendment of resin, dry grass and distant raw cantaloupe. The herbal hint still lingers on the sides of my tongue but doesn't give a whitepeppery nuance this time. The body is light. The finish tweaks slightly more resinous than upfront but otherwise continues citrusy and raw. I knew when I left I'd see the aftertaste again; so what if I did it on purpose? Yeah, I did it on purpose; Cashmere, left it lying by your bed. The mouthfeel is quite light, very zesty and a tad pithy, refreshing and moderately herbal. The froth is abundant but short-lived. Crispness is decent. A bit dry and modestly drying, as well. P.S. Millions of black chanterelles waiting to be picked. 😋

It's the final countdown... Well not final but a countdown of a kind anyway. The beer is called "Daisies" but it doesn't contain daisy. The style is a Witbier. As a matter of fact, all the daisies outdoors have died and won't come up again until the next summer. The color of the beer is relatively hazy straw. Carbonation is ridiculously overwhelming as the emerging froth fills the entire glass. Nevertheless, the foamy tower settles down gradually to a thin lacing on the top. The scent is style-obedient: hefty wheat malt, a bit of flour, orange peel and a lemony twist. Springlike for sure. The taste is intriguing: very fruity and fresh with loads of orange peel that merges with ample wheat malt. Lemon zest, biscuit and a suggestion of coriander seeds join the forces with the original establishment. Solid flavorful package! The body is light-medium to medium. Very good! The finish is identical to upfront. The aftertaste tells me that I'm crazy, but I'll never let 'em change me, 'til they cover me in daisies. The mouthfeel is medium-full, truly soft, smooth, springlike and refreshing. Effervescent for sure. Moderate dryness can also be sensed. All in all, a very attractive Witbier that flushes easily my smoked trout down.

Olut on väriltään samea, kullankeltainen ja vaahtoa kertyi vajaa pari sormellista kun oluen kaatoi lasiin. Tuoksu vehnäinen, appelsiinin kuorinen, mausteinen. Maku on vehnäinen, appelsiinin kuorinen, korianterinen. Ihan kiva ja mukavan raikas witbier!
