Advent Calendar #️⃣4️⃣ gives a deep dark maroon brew. Basically transparent but the dark hue blocks the light efficiently. The carbonation is restrained. A pale fawn head grows half a finger high. A neat generous lacing decorates the surface much longer. The nose likes brown malt, caramel, cookie and syrup dance in the air. Attractive albeit overall a bit controlled. Caramel and syrup dominate the taste profile. Sweet brown malt, cacao nibs and chocolate merge beautifully in the package. The body is medium-full. The aftertaste carries the same nuances over to the end as what one can enjoy in the actual taste. The mouthfeel is medium-full, soft, smooth and lip-glueing. Easy and enjoyable but lacks the character of a well crafted quad.

The chalice deserves a misty, deep mandarin orange beer. The foamy crown is off-white and velvety. A few moments later, a mere haze remains on the top. The nose witnesses strong malt, biscuit, orange peel and invert sugar syrup. Fairly unsurprising. The cocktail starts with the familiar biscuit, invert sugar syrup, orange peel and sweet-leaning malt. The next wave is composed of lemon zest, grass, spruce twig and a hint of chemical alcohol. This begins to act a bit demanding. The body is light to light-medium. Not exactly up to the ABV level. It's a minus in my rating. The end shows more bitter and slightly tangy elements like citruses, spruce and grass. The sensation left behind is light, marginally tangy, modestly alcoholic and lip-glueing. Definitely not characterless.

Hieman makeahko, siirappisen maltainen, hieman keksinen. Jälkimaku kääntyy aavistuksen kuivemman puolelle. Parasta ennen 4.8.2027

Vähän leipää taustalla. Helposti juotava tosin. Täytyy sanoa että kaikki gallivantin tuotteen olleet pettymyksiä tähän asti.

Uusi ölppä sovellukseen! Vaahto niukka. Dunkkaa raikkaalle. Sitrus? Mallas. Ei raikas maku. Hiivaa. Tukeva ei kepeä. Helppo juoda mutta ei blonde. Strong ale ehkä ja ei varsinkaan mikään amber ale. Sekasikiö mutta kuitenkin juotava!
