One of the best American Pale Ales around brewed in Chicago, Illinois by the Half Acre Beer Co. 5.2% full of hoppy and floral flavour! Served in a 16oz can purchased at Trader Joe’s in Chicago

This was refreshing. Malty side has a toasted grain with some light honey to it. Hoppy side has some grassy and slightly floral hops. Has a hint of lemon/lemongrass giving it just the right amount of lemon to it - not overdone like most American lagers.
It’s clean and crisp with a nice balance of malt and hops. A nicely done summer lager.
Canned 2/13/25.

Decided to have a nightcap. Been drinking mainly lagers this evening/night. I bought this at Wegman’s about a month ago. Realized the canned date is 10/7/24. Decided to finally drink it and see what I got. It is a cold weather lager so why not drink it in July.
It did foam up a bit after pouring. Not a good sign. So now how does it taste?
It has a nice sweet cracker with a slightly biscuity and bready malt. Has some very light, at best, grassy and earthy hops. Obviously leans towards the malty side.
Surprisingly better than I expected given the age. I’d love to try a fresher one.

This has some milk chocolate, dark chocolate, fresh roasted coffee with hints of toasted caramel and vanilla. Roasted malt has a sweet but with a Smokey, slightly charred taste to it. Light+ thickness. Quite bitter especially with the coffee contributing.
I wouldn’t really consider this a dessert beer. The name points you there but the chocolate is semi-sweet. It’s more like a coffee stout.
No date.
