Not bad, certainly not the best schwarzbier but very drinkable. Too roasty for my liking, which changes the perceived bitterness and this the balance of the beer. It’s not drastic but enough to take notice. Not enough hop character, it doesn’t taste like a lager.

An unremarkable kolsch. A little sweet for my taste maybe?

Since posting in a few Facebook groups I’ve found out ABC of Manchester fame who shut down last year are now brewing on St. Ives Brewery’s kit in an attempt to resurrect their brand. I wish them well!! 👏👏👏 Not had much joy with white stouts before and if I’m honest, I don’t get them… this one works, really enjoyed it. The can mentions snickers in a beer but I’m not quite feeling that. Milky sweet coffee with big body, in a can, yeah! It’s got delicate roastiness, silky body and milkiness abound. It’s just pale. Something is missing to complete the stout flavour profile, if you closed your eyes you know it’s not a stout. But, it’s still very enjoyable!

Lovely juicy number. Soft and easy drinking with nice body. Pineapple and mango dominate but tangerine and lime come through towards the end. Almost thirst quenching, want another gulp as soon as I’ve finished one. Won’t last long.

This is the new version of Alphabet's double ipa at 8% I love big hoppy doubles like this, it's thick, juicy and very hoppy. Sweet malty backbone with citrus and tropical fruit flavours and some pine in there too. Very good example of the style.
