Ryan and I are going to Duo these beers that we had canned by hand 4 years ago in Pearland Texas. We enjoyed Vallenson's Brewing so much we went back the next week and left with these two cans dated March 4th 2021. Waited a long time to give these another try.
Did not explode on opening, that's a good start. Aroma is the same dark malt and a little boozy for 6.1%. Can't really change anything about my rating 4 years ago. Really surprised. Same soft texture, same malt, same chocolate, same finish. It's a multiple gold medal winning oatmeal Stout and it has aged very well. There have been a lot of changes these last 4 years at Vallenson's but quality has remained consistent.

Having this brew on tap at Vallenson's Brewery with my son-in-law.
Light brown in color, somewhat clear. Enjoying as a flight beer so no head to speak off. Aroma is raisin. Thin texture and dry. A little light on flavor, nothing distinctive. Mild malt is all.
Not a bad brew but nothing that makes it special for me.

At Vallenson's Brewing Company enjoying some on tap beers with my son-in-law.
Crazy that this stout is crystal clear and medium yellow in color. Enjoying in a flight so not able to judge the head. Has a light roasted coffee aroma. Texture is medium thick and very soft, no carbonation. Sweet and creamy. Not getting any coffee. During the finish, late, I'm getting a little roasted coffee flavor. Very mild.
Very surprising color, needed more of the coffee flavor to make it noticeable.

Here at Vallenson's Brewing to try out their gold medal winning oatmeal stout. Enjoying this with my son-in-law and grandson.
Dark brown opaque color. Medium-high dark tan head. Malty aroma. Medium and smooth texture. Flavor is roasted coffee, chocolate and some of the oats in the background. Almost no bitterness. Very smooth finish.
This is an excellent beer and worth the trouble to try out a gold medal brew on tap at the brewery.

At Vallenson's Brewing Company with my family trying out some special beers.
Extremely hazy, opaque. Light yellow and color with almost no head. Flavor is of grapefruit and tangerine. Not real strong and moderate bitterness. Very drinkable IPA.
