After a long hot day, ready to kick back and try something new. Expecting this one to hit me with some bitterness.
Has a medium head, doesn't last. Strong citrus aroma. Deep yellow orange in color. Very hazy but not totally opaque. The feel is light and fresh. As I expected the bitterness is in the forefront, fast and strong. It's quickly followed by a strong citrus sapidity (OK, I got so tired of using the word flavor over and over I found a new synonym, never heard of this word before). I get grapefruit and maybe a little blood orange. Both the citrus and the hoppy bitterness linger on the back of the tongue. Staying there for almost a minute before I took the next sip, amazing.
The 7.5% alcohol does not show itself. So be careful with this one.
I am gradually coming around to IPAs with all their bitter qualities. So far only the citrus ones appeal to me. Still prefer stouts, but this is a pretty good IPA.

Another beautiful day at the Foundry Growler bar. Short head, opaque brown color. Slight Sweet vanilla aroma. Creamy mouthfeel with a distinct vanilla bean and cocoa flavor. Get the alcohol sensation during the finish along with the vanilla. Very good beer for a very small brewery.
