Rafraîchissante parfaite l été...

Croats really know how to do a dark bodied drinkable porter with not too much alco - certainly haven't drank anything like this one yet. Body so dark brown that even the sun doesn't shine through it, yellowish white foam that quickly settles, indicating a low level of carbonation. This is confirmed by mouthfeel and the dark body just does its own subtle dance, without interferring with taste. Mellow aftertaste comes back with smokey (burnt) bitter caramel, but only for a few seconds. Aromas come from the glass of smokey... roasted walnuts with sugar caramel maybe? It's heavy on the nose but suprisingly freshy. Maybe a bit of sourness but could be glass/environment. Would go down great with a proper steak or a baklava...
