Late check-in of Advent Calendar Beer #️⃣1️⃣0️⃣.
Today is the winter solstice, that is the shortest day of the year. On this latitude, the daylight lasts 5 hr 47 min today. Tomorrow, it's one minute longer. 😅
The beer foams like crazy. But doesn't overpour on the table. I'm vigilant. The appearance shows a limpid copper face. The head bears big bubbles, colors pure white and reaches four fingers until I blow the whistle to stop it from growing excessively. An appealing lace ring adorns the surface later.
I smell grainy malt, a bit of bread, pine needle and dry hops. And bags of yeast. The scent is somewhat challenging as this is not a pure English Bitter but mingled with Belgian yeast to complete the package.
The taste is not bad actually. Bitterness is medium. The malty side is grainy and features marginal bready and wheat biscuity flavors. The yeast is copious, bitter with a distinct floral element. Piney hops leave a drying sensation behind. The bitterness–yeasty combination is not particularly inviting but I appreciate this as it is, of course.
The body is light but not thin. Works bravely for this strength. Ends identically to the first encounter. No change.
The mouthfeel is light, piney, floral and musty. Crispness, dryness and dryingness are all moderate. All in all, a reasonable piece.

Kylpyamme löytyy kuvituksesta. Luonnonvalkea vaahto, punaruskea juoma.
Kaksi tyyliä lyö kättä; pientä katkeruutta + yrttisyyttä.
